Milo Yiannopoulos is a senior editor for Breitbart news and an audio clip went viral today when shared by a conservative organization. In the clip, he states:
No, no, no. You’re misunderstanding what pedophilia means. Pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to somebody 13 years old who is sexually mature. Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty.
Since claiming that it is okay for a 13-year-old to have sexual relations with someone of adult age, Milo Yiannopoulos’s career seems to be falling. Previously, Milo Yiannopoulos had a speaking opportunity at UC Berkeley, however he was removed by police officers who believed that it would be unsafe resulting from massive protests.
Milo’s book deal that he struck worth $250,000 with Simon & Schuster, a conservative publisher, has now been canceled. Simon & Schuster canceled the book publishing because of the audio that has now since gone viral, of him approving pedophilia.
Milo was also invited to the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) to give a speech, but since this audio has gone viral, his invitation by CPAC has been rescinded.
Many conservatives have come out saying that the invitation of Milo Yiannopoulos to the CPAC convention was a mistake in the first place, with many saying that he is not a conservative or that he is truly a racist or anti-semitic. The editor of the National Review, Rich Lowry called it a “Colossal misjudgment.” He continued: “Now CPAC has put itself in the role of ‘censor.’ And for what? Some clicks and headlines?” The editor at large of the Weekly Standard, Bill Kristol, said that the invitation was “despicable.”
Milo Yiannopoulos also seems to be facing heat from his colleagues over at Breitbart, with over a dozen workers reportedly saying that they will leave Breitbart if Milo is not fired.
Bill Maher had Milo Yiannopoulos on his show “Real Time with Bill Maher” recently to discuss issues like free speech and transgenderism, which was a very controversial invitation. Many disagreed with Maher’s invitation of Yiannopoulos, however Bill Maher defended it.
Ever since this audio has gotten everyone’s attention, Milo has been having trouble keeping his career intact.
