Mainstream media is dying.
Viewership of mainstream news broadcasts and readership of mainstream newspapers are in the midst of a decades-long decline, as is advertising revenue. According to Gallup, less than one in three Americans trust mainstream media “to report the news fully, accurately and fairly.” Amongst young people, the number is much lower.
And yet, the narrative presented by mainstream media still holds power over some. They are the poorly engaged, the establishment sympathizers, the Sheriffs of Nottingham clinging to middle management. Yes, they are those who are not yet ‘woke AF.’
The problem with this power is that, regardless of the purported political leanings of each individual outlet, mainstream media can be universally counted on to promote certain aspects of a specific dogma – the military industrial complex, corporate politicians, the impregnability of the financial sector, and so on. The areas most harmful to the general population are those most staunchly defended. The energies of an unsettled public intentionally diverted from the root causes of their grief.
As such, I take it as both my duty and my great pleasure to write This Week in The Narrative – now into its seventh month – where I dissect and deride the most prominent mainstream media storyline(s) each week.

Of course, it is only one-half of the equation to reveal and recognize the intentional deception of the mainstream media narrative. Just as important is to provide a credible, entertaining, integrity driven alternative to the shit shoveled by CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, The Washington Post, and their contemporaries.
There is no doubt in my mind that The Progressive Army does exactly this.
This is why I am thrilled to bring This Week in The Narrative here, to its new home at one of the torchbearers of progressivism.
Check back each week for a new episode, and some new bullets to use against the establishment (relax NSA, I’m speaking metaphorically).
