According to a poll from Morning Consult, which included 141,400 registered voters, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont is the most popular senator in the country with a 75% approval compared to a 21% disapproval.
While Bernie Sanders is the most popular senator according to the poll, Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell has the highest disapproval rating, with 48% saying they disapproved and 41% expressing their approval.
The three senators with the highest approval rating are an Independent who caucuses with Democrats and two Democrats, while the three senators with the highest disapproval rating are all Republicans.
According to Morning Consult: “In Oklahoma, GOP Sens. James Lankford and Jim Inhofe saw their net approval ratings slide 7 points and 11 points, respectively, since the first quarter. Arizona Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake also saw negative swings — McCain by 12 points, Flake by 14 points — and Sens. Tom Cotton and John Boozman of Arkansas saw 9-point and 8-point dips, respectively.”

Many Americans are anticipating the 2018 midterm elections as a way to change the current Republican control of congress as a way to combat President Trump’s agenda. Many senators have seen their approval ratings change as a result of their actions towards President Trump and the approvals will most likely continue to change.
