Benjamin Dixon opened The Benjamin Dixon Show with plenty to discuss on Wednesday.
Starting the show by talking about the terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium, Ben brought attention to how candidates running for President, including Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, immediately politicized the story. He specifically focused, though, on the statement made by Ted Cruz.
Next Ben moved on to the outcomes of the democratic primary contests that were held on Tuesday. With widespread reports of voter suppression in Arizona, Ben discussed whether Hillary Clinton’s win there could be attributed to these issues, as well as what caused the problems seen in that state.
Before closing the first hour, Dixon commented on a recently-revealed admission by John D. Ehrlichman, who was Assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs under President Richard Nixon, regarding the lies that the “war on drugs” was based.
For the second hour of the show, Michael Brooks, of Majority Report & 2 Dopeboys and a Podcast, joined Ben for an in-depth conversation. The two discussed the passing of Phife Dawg, of rap group A Tribe Called Quest, as well as multiple political topics.
After his conversation with Brooks, Dixon opened the phone lines to callers and also discussed possible hypothetical futures for the Democratic Party. Watch the entire show below!
One final note: During Wednesday’s show, Progressive Army member Solomon Russell was one of the people to call into the show. Before commenting on the show’s subject matter, Ben asked Russell about a brand-new website he contributed to that recently launched, where all who are interested can find information on “Sanders Democrats” running on all levels of government throughout the United States. That site is SandersDemocrats.org.
