Saying “Trump is Worse” Won’t Sway Sanders’ Supporters
by Salam Morcos

I understand why Clinton supporters feel this way. They cannot comprehend how some Sanders supporters are willing to shun Hillary Clinton, with the risk of giving Donald Trump a chance of becoming the next president of the United States. They feel that Sanders supporters are “privileged” and put the lives of people of color, undocumented immigrants, and poor people at risk if Trump is elected president.

I sympathize with the views of Clinton supporters. However, I would like to defend the views of those who choose not to vote for Clinton in the General Election and address the fears of a Donald Trump presidency.

Hillary Clinton’s Covert Campaign For The TPP
by Salam Morcos

Hillary Clinton’s delegates voted down amendments proposed by Bernie Sanders supporters to reject the Trans-Pacific Partnership in the two-day Democratic platform meeting in Orlando. The proposed amendments would have put the Democratic Party on record for opposing a vote on the TPP during the lame duck session of Congress (when Congress meets after Election Day on November 8, but before the new Congress’ and President’s terms begin in January.)

Why is the US Silent? Saudi Arabia To Behead and Crucify Three Innocent Juveniles|
by Salam Morcos

Saudi Arabia, a US ally and close friend, is set to crucify and behead three juveniles for their involvement in pro-democracy demonstrations during the Arab Spring protests in 2011-2012 that engulfed North Africa and the Middle East.

The three victims, Ali Muhammad Al-Nimr, Dawood Al-Marhoon, and Abdullah Al-Zaher, were aged 15 to 17 at the time of their arrest. They called for a more representative democracy, fair elections and an end to the systematic discrimination and hostility that Shia citizens face in the Kingdom.

Blaming Bernie is Dumb
by Michael Graham

First, let’s level-set this conversation at the outset. We are going to start with a set of indisputable facts that will help the dense understand where many Bernie voters are coming from. 1) Bernie was cheated by the DNC, the media & the Clinton campaign; 2) the Clinton campaign is a rambling mess with a hugely unpopular candidate that can’t pull away from an even less popular candidate; 3) we live in a corrupt oligarchy and 4) Bernie has been a good soldier since the convention.

Letting them Go: Trump Supporters Are A Lost Cause
by Pamela Elaine

If you are related to or know anyone who feels Donald Trump won the debate last night, count them as a lost cause.

Many of us watched in horror as a man who, seemingly, cannot complete a sentence in response to questions presented to him, is one of the top two contenders for President of the United States. Today my timelines were filled with an equal mix of those filled with angry disbelief and stunned depression due to hearty proclamations that Donald Trump had won the debate last night. Or worse that he had won over some undecided voter.

Editorial: Keep Calm and Blame Russia: A Terrible Strategy
By The Editorial Board

These days it seems that blaming Russia has become the sole response to everything. It doesn’t matter that leaked emails show that Donna Brazile provided a debate question one day ahead of a Town Hall to the Clinton campaign, or that leaked emails confirm that the Clinton campaign colluded with the DNC to set up a debate schedule that’s in “the [Clinton campaign’s] best interest.” It doesn’t matter that they conspired together against the campaign of Bernie Sanders. It doesn’t matter that leaked Wall Street speeches show that Clinton is “pro-Keystone and pro-trade.” These and many others don’t matter because… Russia!

Ten Explosive Leaked Podesta Emails
by Salam Morcos and Raven Payne

WikiLeaks has released over 5,000 emails that belong to Hillary Clinton’s campaign Chairman John Podesta and vowed to release more emails in the coming days. With less than a month before Election Day, the release couldn’t have come at a worse time for the Clinton campaign even though Donald Trump is facing a crisis of his own with the revelation of extremely lewd conversations captured on audio from Access Hollywood in 2005.

Dear Clinton Supporter, I Don’t Care If You Are Afraid of a Trump Win
by Raven Payne

Calling his supporters racists, she asked why Trump had so much support and I tried to explain my understanding from people I know who support Trump. Then she said, “It’s unfair!” when I explained his populist, outsider/anti-establishment message. And that’s when it hit me.

I don’t care when a Clinton supporter tells me how worried or afraid they are if Trump wins. And the reason why is simple: They didn’t care when I expressed my frustration, anger, and sorrow at Bernie Sanders’s defeat. They told me I was wrong, that I was spouting conspiracy theories, and that I needed to get over it and get behind Clinton to beat Trump.

Promise in the Problems: A Message from Nina Turner
by Michael Graham

We are living in a new era in the United States. We are now in the land of President Donald Trump. The Democrats successfully quelled the populist left by pushing out Senator Bernie Sanders. In many ways, the final nail in the 2016 Democratic coffin was shutting out former State Senator Nina Turner. Sen Turner was the spark plug of the Bernie Sanders campaign. She, along with Dr. Cornel West, was the key to activating Black Progressives and the vast majority of non-Black Progressives and independents. But, the Democratic power elite knew that they would have to really deliver on the Progressive agenda in order to keep the principled Senator Turner on board. She is the Progressive Whisperer.

Meet Joanne Fleming, Newly Elected Washington State Committeewoman
by Raven Payne

Fleming’s political awakening occurred during WAmend’s Initiative 735 campaign. This was the first time she turned her political knowledge into political action, fully realizing her power to be an active agent of change. The initiative, which states “we need to have control over the money spent in elections and donations must be public” is essentially an attempt to overturn Citizens United at the state level. This initiative passed overwhelmingly with 63% of voters in favor.

Senate Approves Center for Propaganda
by Salam Morcos

The US Senate quietly passed a measure last week to establish what it calls a “Global Engagement Center” as part of the annual National Defense Authorization Act which specifies the budget of the Department of Defense. The Center, which will be run by the Secretary of State, is intended “to expose and counter foreign propaganda” and “proactively advance fact-based narratives that support United States allies and interests.”

The measure was initially introduced by Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Chris Murphy (D-CT). Senator Portman states that this bill would help confront what he calls an “extensive, and destabilizing, foreign propaganda and disinformation operations being waged against us.”
